This garden office was a new build, with low ceilings and North-facing light. The brief - to create an interior that feels totally separate from the home - involved a fresh bright colour scheme, with different textures on the walls, floors, fixtures and fittings. Carefully sourced vintage furniture and accessories feel effortlessly authentic, adding to the feeling that it’s developed organically over time. The reconfiguration and redesign of the garden enables this build to look less intrusive externally - it nestles - looking like it’s always been there. The finished space has its own identity, so you get the sensation of “going to work” even if the journey only takes you to the end of the garden.
